From Kissamos Port: Boat Cruise to Balos Lagoon & Gramvousa

1.From Kissamos Port: Boat Cruise to Balos Lagoon & Gramvousa

★★★★★★★★★★4.2 · 6,755 reviews · 7 hours · from $47Our pick

Cruise from Kissamos to Balos Lagoon and Gramvousa for emerald water, a Venetian castle, swimming, scenic views, and seven hours of Crete.

“We had SUCH a fun day on this trip, the boat crew were super nice & the beaches we visited were stunning. I took my 3year old & we did take a pram for her, but just be aware, you can't really take the prams onto the beaches as they're really stony. We left ours near the boat which was totally fine. Also make sure you have your ticket barcode ready for the boat beforehand as there is no wifi & queues can be long to get them at the ticket office. This was the best day of our trip by far & I got a fantastic tan ;)”

“Balos and Gramvousa are the most amazing place on earth! The sea is full of color and fish and the water was really clear and perfect! The day was well organized but I would have liked to stay one more hour on Gramvousa Island. The boat was really big and there was a seat for almost everyone! The guide and the autist were nice and informed us well”

“We had an amazing trip to Dia island with Stelios and Celia! We decided to try the full day trip over the half day and are so glad we did. Definitely pay the bit more if you can! The pickup from our hotel was right from the door and on time, we were welcomed on board at the harbour and at the island had a chance to try snorkelling and SUP for the first time. Lunch was prepared while we swam and we had plenty of chance to sunbathe without feeling under pressure to do anything to a schedule. The whole experience was so relaxing, we felt like welcomed guests…”

11.From Ag. Nikolaos: Spinalonga & Kolokytha Cruise with Lunch

★★★★★★★★★★4.2 · 735 reviews · 5h 30m · from $35

Cruise from Agios Nikolaos to Spinalonga, swim at Kolokytha Bay, and enjoy a simple Cretan lunch aboard a friendly half-day boat trip.

“Food was not so good. Both stops should have been longer because you can hardly see Spinalonga and experience the sea, especially the one on the Kolokytha beach was too short. In general i think this tour during August should be offered in the afternoon cause it is too hot to see Spinalonga in the middle of lunch time.”

“At first arived a big and very comfortable with conditioner bus. Guide was very pleasant and tell us all needed information about our tour. The views were magical ❣️We climbed on the rock to look from the top. Water colours are magical. Water im Balos is about 25C, but in Gramvousa just about 18-19C ! But it is very good after climbing. Water is super solty, but in the ship is normal water whitch you can use before going inside the ship. Recomended !”

Review of the Balos and Gramvousa day trip from Chania, with ferry details, castle hike, costs, crowds, swimming tips, and honest value advice.

“Everything was well-organized. Even though it was plenty of other people on boat our guide Vicky was always visible and even gave her number. She was supernice🧡🤗 Everything was explained perfectly. Balos was gorgeous, with crystal clear water and pink sand. Gramvousa nice to see, but it didn’t wanted to hike, that’s why enjoyed the beach, the only issue, there were lots of slippery stones, i guess it’s better to bring special water shoes for this I remember i was scared to return back from sea, but one kind woman noticed me and helped me 💛”
